Approved indication:

• Renal conditions: to induce a diuresis or remission of proteinuria in nephrotic syndrome, without uremia, of the idiopathic type or that due to lupus erythematosus¹⁴

MOA:

• Reduce expression of inflammatory proteins by activating or inhibiting transcription of inflammatory related genes within the immune system¹⁵

Dosing:

• Based on classification, symptoms, and progression of disease
• Oral, intramuscular injection, or IV infusion

Adverse effects:

• Fluid retention, potassium loss, hypertension, hypokalemic alkalosis, sodium retention¹⁴
